Hi, this is John Dale from GlobileNet. We had a customer called Lavanya that had called us. She’s actually called us several times over a couple of years, or a couple of times over a couple of years.
Solar System and Switchboard Involvement
And on this occasion, it was in relation to solar. Now, we don’t do solar, but I have a background where I understand solar, solar inverters, and I can change solar inverters and do switch board upgrades in order to support solar. If people don’t know much about solar, I can help them and assist them in getting quotes from authorised installers.
Solar Inverter and Panel Inspection
And on this occasion, the inspection involved the inverter, and when I had a good look at it, it didn’t seem to be the inverter that was a failure, but that the solar panels had failed. I did a couple of what we call short circuit and open circuit tests just to satisfy myself that that was the problem.
Referral to Solar Specialist
I introduced Lavanya to a suitable solar expert that could do the fix. So she had the problem resolved. And of course, she was losing money while it wasn’t solved.
Customer Review and Feedback
And she was kind enough, although I didn’t charge her actually for that visit, she did give me a great review and she said “he is polite, punctual and quick. We had him over our place last year to inspect the solar system. He did a quick check and there was nothing to fix. He was kind enough not to charge us anything. This year, again, our solar system stopped working a quick call to John. He came over to inspect. And after the primary inspection, he connected with us a solar specialist and the issue was resolved.”
