Customer Story: Dipesh’s Electrical Needs
Hi, this is John Dale from GlobileNet again, just on one of our customer stories. This time it was a guy called Dipesh. Dipesh had a number of requirements in his home. He wanted to get some weatherproof power points installed on the outside of the house. He wanted to move lights in the pergola. He wanted to add some smart light switching. So there was a mixed bag of things which were lighting and power related, one of which was to switch the garden lights from a power point.
Evaluating Power Point Installations
So when we first evaluated the job, every power point is a little different. It provides its own little challenge. So we generally have to guess, almost. I mean, obviously we have experience behind us, but a lot of the time we have to guess how much a power point is going to be.
Balancing Quotes and Customer Value
So it’s not very easy. And many times if we actually were to be conservative and we quoted too much, then we wouldn’t win the business, or we would lose money depending on which way it flows. Anyway, most importantly is that we get the job done as quoted and we honour our quotes.
Clear Assumptions in Electrical Work
I mean, there’s got to be a lot in our notes and assumptions, which are always specified, that requires us to ask the customer for a change in the quoted value. This is not one of those cases, by the way.
Customer Feedback on Smart Lighting
In fact, with the smart lighting, Dipesh had a comment “there was nothing too small or too big for them. They did great quality work. Trusted advisors.” You’ll see that in the Google reviews. And then following up “we’ll be using them for all our electrical work and smart home stuff from now on.” So that was a really wonderful review from Dipesh. And thank you very much for that.
Smart Home Benefits and Future Work
So we look forward to doing a lot more on the smart home side of things for him, which in his case allowed him to have a great ability to turn lights on in the back garden, even though he didn’t have lighting cables and switches prewired. So that’s the advantage of smart lighting. So I’ll end this one with John Dale from GlobileNet. Give us a call if you want some of our services. Thank you.
