Solar Electrical Upgrade and Customer Referral
Hi, this is John Dale from GlobileNet with another customer story. Just in this case, it was a mix of solar, a switchboard upgrade some lights, some power points in an older home actually in Eastwood and Bailey had given us a call because her brother was a client that I’d done a lot of downlights for, who was very happy with our work and had referred us to them. So we were very pleased to obviously have that referral but also to work with Bailey, in this case the problem was that they wanted to install solar.
Solar-Ready Switchboard Upgrade and New Power Points
They had to upgrade their switchboard to make space in the switchboard, which usually is quite an expensive job. You’re probably looking at or sometimes one to two thousand dollars, I guess depending on the switchboard but more importantly, you want to know that at the end of the day, your power is still on and the new switchboard is compliant to regulations and in this case we understand solar, so we understand what was required on the switchboard and we had the skills necessary to run some rather awkward powerpoints in those double-big places, it’s not something that you do casually.
Electrical Consultation, Scope of Works and Flush Power Point Installation
You have to know what you’re in for, at least, especially when the customer is not expecting that or expects to have surface-mounted power points that are nice flush to the wall. So when we go and do our consulting, we explore all of those things and make sure we cover every aspect of it and in our proposal, you will always see as well as the scope of works, the notes and assumptions that are made in relation to an installation and Bailey was very happy. She said very friendly people, hardworking, eager to help, to answer all my questions, happy with their work on our solar and so on.
