Small Job Request from George in Dural
Hi, this is John Dale, just here on a customer interaction story. This time it was George from Dural. George had a tiny little job, so when he called and he just wanted a switch changed, I told him about the call fee.
Explaining the Call Fee and Promotions
At the time, and we still do have, by the way, we had a promotion where if you register on the website, you can nominate one of the promotions. One of them was the reduction of the call fee. The call fee is $100, depending on the zone, but if it’s in the local area, it’s $100. And then you have a minimum labor charge of $130 on top of that. So the minimum call charge is $230 plus GST, basically. But on the website, there’s an offering for the call charge to be taken off if you’re a new customer.

I suggested to George that he goes to our website, registers through that, and then I would do the job for $130 plus GST plus a switch, which he did and he was very grateful for.
