Customer Request for Power Points and Other Ad-Hoc Items
Hi, this is John Dale again from GlobileNet. Another customer story involving power points and a couple of other items that the customer wanted, rather on an ad-hoc basis.
Why We Avoid Ad-Hoc Jobs Without Clear Budgets
So usually when a customer asked me to go and just do the job ad-hoc, I don’t really like to do it, especially for a domestic client. So I tend to persuade the customer to give me enough detail so I can give them at least the budgetary figure because there’s nothing worse than having an unhappy customer because they just say “Oh, just do that”, and then they get the bill for $1,000 and they’re expecting $500. So we always make sure that we have a very specific budget in mind for the client and ourselves, of course.
Identifying Additional Safety Needs: Smoke Detectors and Power Point Installation
In this case, there was a requirement, as I say, for power points. And Enrico was pretty happy with the fact that we noticed these smoke detectors needed changing. So we provided a change of smoke detectors while we were on site. And then he wanted to actually do a power point install. So we quoted him on the job verbally, and he was happy to proceed with that.
Positive Customer Feedback from Enrico
And Enrico’s comments were like “John came properly, completed the job to high standards. Costs are reasonable. Overall, he was friendly and a good communicator.”
