Customer Needs and Changing Household Setup
This is John Dale from GlobileNet, sharing another customer experience. Nic has been a valued customer of ours for quite a few years, often calling us back when different needs arise around the house. With a young family growing and spaces being rearranged, she wanted several electrical updates done: moving power points, replacing light switches, installing ceiling fans where the old ones had become obsolete, and a few other adjustments to keep the home safe and functional.
Grouping Multiple Jobs Together
Nic is very practical. Instead of calling for a single small job, like fixing a $50 switch, she tends to collect a list of tasks so that call-out costs are spread across multiple fixes. This time, the work included four new double power points, a light switch, and two TV wall brackets to be mounted and wired in different rooms.
TV Wall Brackets and Cable Management
Nic supplied the TV brackets herself. Installing a bracket can take up to an hour depending on the size of the TV and whether the cables are to be dropped down the wall cavity. Hiding the cables gives the neat, professional look most families want. We made sure access points were created so wires weren’t exposed, keeping everything tidy and secure.
Locating Studs and Wall Reinforcement
With wall-mounted TVs, the position of the timber studs is often critical. Customers usually want the TV centred in a room, but the studs don’t always line up with that ideal spot. In Nic’s case, we needed to carefully cut access points, install extra timber noggins behind the plaster, and then mount the bracket safely. If the TV is ever removed, any small wall repairs are hidden behind the screen or easily patched before repainting.
Consultation and Clear Communication
One of our key processes is interactive delivery. For each bracket installation, we double-checked placement with Nic before drilling and fixing. That way, there’s no frustration later about the TV sitting a few centimetres off-centre. This kind of communication avoids mistakes and gives the customer confidence throughout the work.
A Happy Customer Once Again
By the end of the job, Nic was once again very satisfied. She appreciated that her growing list of jobs was handled efficiently in one visit, and that each installation—from power points to wall brackets—was done neatly and safely. We always ask for feedback after a job, and most customers, like Nic, are kind enough to leave us a positive review. It’s always rewarding to leave a home knowing the customer is happy with both the result and the process.
