Urgent customer enquiry and request for fixed quote
Hi, this is John Dale from GlobileNet. Just relaying a customer interactive story. We had a customer with a problem that needed servicing quickly. There was a guy called Michael, and Michael had seen us through Google Search and had seen our ratings and wanted to do the job quickly, but really needed a pretty fixed quote.

So I agreed with him that we would do a video call in which he could show me around the area. And it was just a garage, actually. And he was having to go across the garage roof to the other side of the garage to put a PowerPoint in. When we looked at it over WhatsApp and stood back from the garage, we could see that the tiles were removeable on the garage side roof.

And so that made the problem a little clearer for me so I could give him a fixed quote. And he was happy with the quote. And I proceeded to make an arrangement with him, I think in the same afternoon, in fact.
Accessing roof space and running conduit for wiring
When we went to do the job, it was pretty obvious that videocall was pretty accurate. We did manage to access the roof space via the tile. So it was not a manhole, but we could get into the roof space through the tiles. And we ran from an existing power point across that roof space, came down the wall on the other side, encapsulated it in a conduit, and made a nice neat job of it.

And Michael was very happy with the whole process. Now he had the PowerPoint where he needed it on the other side of the garage.
