Customer History & Previous Landscape Lighting Electrical Works
This is John Dale from GlobileNet with another customer story. This time it was with Varghese, who’s been with us for many years actually. In fact, we did a very large landscaping project for lighting in his premise about 5 years ago or 6 years ago, and we actually returned to make some amendments and changes recently.
Emergency Call-Out – Power Loss & After-Hours Electrical Fault
But on this occasion, Bhagis had called late one evening and had a problem with the power. And so I said “well, okay, I’ll drop in within (whatever it was) about an hour probably”.
Incoming Supply Fault – Burnt & Loose Main Service Fuse Diagnosis
And when I had a look, the main incoming fuse from the grid, was obviously loose, you know, and the fuse was all burned. And quite a dangerous situation sometimes as well. So no wonder he was having some odd problems as he was talking about it. So his problem on this occasion was he was losing power.
Rapid Response Electrical Service – Local Electrician Advantage
He wanted to get an effective repair quickly for obvious reasons. The benefit of calling me really was that he knew me very well. I know him, so I tend to go out of my way, especially for existing customers, where I can. And on this case, I dropped everything and went out to see him. One of the good things about being local is that it’s not a long journey for me to pop in and see most of my customers.
Service Fuse Replacement & Risk Mitigation Procedures
In this case, the solution was fairly simple. I usually carry spare fuses or service fuses for those sorts of problems. Taking the service fuse out and working on that sort of problem needs a lot of risk mitigation. So we provided the appropriate protection and we solved the problem within about half an hour by changing the fuse base and putting the new supply back into the new fuse.
Restored Power Supply & Preventing Major Electrical Damage
So that was that, and he was very, very happy for us to have been so quick. Obviously, saved him potentially from a fairly large problem as well. So if you want to engage with GlobileNet, please get in contact. Thank you.
