Cooktop Load Requirements & Existing Wiring Assessment
Hi there, this is John Dale from GlobileNet, just relaying a customer interaction with you. On this occasion, Carol had given us a call and she was interested in us updating her wiring, or checking actually initially, to see if they could actually put a new cooktop on their existing wire.
Free Electrical Quote & Consultation Process
So as we normally do, we provide generally a free quote, and we provide a bit of a consulting service just to make sure they, my customers, and myself don’t end up with any misunderstanding.
On-Site Electrical Inspection & Customer Consultation Benefits
So, the benefit of me calling out, of course, is that I get to interact with the customer directly. It’s a much better feeling when you meet a customer than just doing a quote over the phone or sending a text. And it’s much better for the customer too. They can see you and get a good opinion about whether you know what you’re talking about and can help them properly.
Cooktop Circuit Capacity & Wiring Compliance Issue
So in this case, when we looked at the wiring for the cooktop The wiring wasn’t sufficient for the new cooktop, so we did suggest that they needed to rewire. I gave them a quote.
Switchboard Upgrade, Safety Switch (RCBO) & Cooktop Compliance
They also needed a new safety circuit breaker put into the switchboard, needed a switch to meet compliance regulations for cooktops these days, and to install or de-install the old cooktop and reinstall a new cooktop.
32A Dedicated Circuit Installation & Full Electrical Compliance
So they did hire us, of course, otherwise they wouldn’t have given us a review, which they did, and that was very nice. We actually had to run a new cable all the way to the switchboard that was capable of 32 amps. We did, as I’ve suggested, meet all the requirements to make it legal and professional. They were really, really happy with the solution.
Ceiling Space Cable Routing & Licensed Electrical Workmanship
So, this one wasn’t a particularly difficult job in the sense that wiring could be run over a ceiling space without any problems, and, you know, there was just a very natural skill for us to actually deploy the new circuit with full compliance.
Customer Satisfaction, Transparent Pricing & Electrical Warranty Confidence
And of course Carol was very happy. She said, we “did a fantastic job in upgrading the electrical wiring for our new cooktop. Not just the service was professional, the team also gave us useful advice about future maintenance of our switchboard. Their cost was transparent and affordable. And the price that you won’t feel like it’s unreasonable and then be ripped off. I’ll hire them again for any other electrical work without hesitation.” So if you would like to work with somebody without hesitation, call us at GlobileNet. Thank you.
