How We Helped Hamid

Quick Overview

Hamid was experiencing unexplained circuit failures and frequent breaker tripping, with no clear cause. Our inspection uncovered multiple issues, including a faulty switchboard, failing breakers, and a hidden power point with an inbuilt safety circuit causing disruptions. After upgrading to safety circuit breakers and replacing the concealed faulty outlet, the system has been running reliably with no further issues.

Electrical Fault Diagnosis – Intermittent Circuit Failure & Unknown Causes

Hi, this is John Dale from GlobileNet. Just another customer story. Hamid had given us a call and he had a problem where some circuits were failing him. He wasn’t sure why. There wasn’t really any specific context given to it.

Local Electrical Service & Efficient On-Site Inspection

He asked me to come in and at least have a look, which we did. As we normally do, we generally work local so that we don’t need to charge the customer for visiting and giving them quotes. So I tend to work local, and by doing so, we’re much more efficient for our clients when we do have warranty issues or whatever, but we can get to them quickly.

Circuit Breaker Tripping & Switchboard Fault Identification

And the problem here was that he was having circuit breakers tripping. And when we had a look, we could verify that not only were the breakers having a problem, but there were problems with the switchboard, and there was a problem with a particular power point actually that was causing those issues, or partly causing those issues.

RCBO Upgrade – Installing Safety Circuit Breakers for Earth Protection

So we gave Hamid a quote to replace a couple of circuit breakers that needed to be changed to safety circuit breakers to give them the benefit of earth protection.

Hidden RCBO Power Point – Electrical Troubleshooting Challenges

And also in their house they had a very old style power point which actually has an inbuilt RCBO or inbuilt safety circuit. They didn’t know it was there. So part of the troubleshooting in this case was actually trying to figure out why the power wasn’t working, not knowing that there was a power point hidden behind a wall somewhere that they didn’t know about that had this inbuilt safety circuit breaker. So it actually took us quite a while.

Fault Isolation Process – Locating Concealed Electrical Components

We had to just go through, take all the furniture off the walls until we eventually found this culprit power point, which because we’d put safety circuit breakers in, we removed entirely and put a new power point on, and he hasn’t had any problems ever since, thankfully.

Customer Feedback – Professional Electrical Service & Fast Turnaround

So he was very, very happy, and he said “very quick turnaround, professional, and pleasant to deal with. Thanks, John and Max.” So if you want somebody that delivers a great service to you, give us a call at GlobileNet. Thank you.
