Bathroom Fan and Three-in-One Unit Requirements

Hi, this is John Dale from GlobileNet, just discussing different customer requirements and in this case, we had a situation where there were no bathroom units installed and Anna had come to us for help so that she could, properly dehumidify the bathrooms and a couple of other things that went on with that. So when you’re thinking about three-in-one units or fans in bathrooms, you’ve got to think about where is the air going to go to because if you’re in an apartment, for example, you really need to extract that to the outside or if you’re in a downstairs level of a two-storey house, you probably want to do the same.

Bathroom Exhaust Airflow and Moisture Extraction

You don’t want to evaporate it into the ceiling space, which surprisingly does happen often. The other thing about getting it that right is to get the airflow right and that depends on the size of the room. But from a purchasing point of view, you need to always look at the airflow of a unit. Now, the unit may look wonderful, has four heat lamps, for example, a great light, looks wonderful, but the suction from the unit is say, two hundred metres per second or something or metres per hour, and whereas a another one might be, double that capacity.

Choosing the Right Bathroom Fan Unit

So you really need to look under the hood when you’re buying these things, and most people don’t know what to look for to be honest. So part of our service sometimes is if the customer says, “Ah, I’d rather buy my own,” then I’ll say, “Well, that’s fine. I’ll give you some suggestions. You can go and buy them as part of our, yeah, just as part of our consultative process.” so it’s up to them. The only difference between them buying it and me buying it, or our company buying it, is that they will get the warranty period of the device.

Electrical Product Supply and Warranty Support

So for example, if we get a unit that has a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, GlobileNet will, under normal circumstances when we supply the product, provide that three-year warranty labour-free. So not only are you getting the benefit of no call-out, but we’ll replace the unit for free. If you supply it though, you look after the warranty, so you will expect to get a service fee call charge in that case. So, if you’re going to spend thirty dollars extra for a two hundred dollars unit and you want that peace of mind, which I would do for a bathroom fan unit, by the way, then that’s up to you. All right, so the other thing is that if, I buy it I usually know the space above the ceiling.

Ceiling Space Assessment for Bathroom Fan Installation

So we don’t want to get into a situation where we can’t fit it because there’s a water pipe right over the position where you want to put the, the fan light unit. So in this case, we ended up with Anna being very happy she said, “We’re very happy with the installation he will be our go-to electrician from now on.” Thank you very much, and if you want to be happy, come to GlobileNet. Thank you.
