Apartment Electrical Modifications After Moving In
Hi, this is John Dale from GlobileNet we had a client called Astha looking us up in from Google if you look us up, you will see that we have many reviews, only one of which is four out of five . So we’re very happy, we worked very hard for that Astha’s requirement, she moved into a new flat.
Power Point Placement and Concealed Apartment Wiring
Like everywhere, when you move in the first time, there’s a couple of power points in odd places or power points, which is just not in the right place and so relatively small job, but Astha also had a fan, ceiling fan, to install and in apartments, it’s always a challenge getting around places when people don’t want to see surface ducts or anything like that because of the construction of the place. Sometimes they’re a steel-framed wall, but if you’re going to go horizontally across the wall, it can be quite a challenge to try to get the wires across without creating at least some sort of damage and if you’ve got a new apartment, you simply don’t want holes placed everywhere.
Consultative Electrical Planning to Minimise Damage
So it’s more of a consultative effort in those sorts of places because you really need to know how to get to places and advise the customer as to, if there is going to be some damage, which sometimes, as I said, unavoidable they know fully what to expect and that your repair you’re not a professional painter. We obviously fill the holes and leave them in a situation where a painter can come smooth it down and paint it and finish it off properly but in this case, we didn’t need to we managed to find ways around the ceilings, places.
Ceiling Fan Support in Suspended Apartment Ceilings
The other thing in the apartments is that the ceilings, do not necessarily allow you to hang a fan without additional supporting timbers. So that’s also a challenge because trying to put in a supporting timber in a location which is a suspended ceiling on gyprock, where you really can’t put in a piece of wood of five hundred millimetres because we’re very tight to the ceiling normally with those suspended ceilings. So there’s a few tricks that we have to use to actually get that fan supported properly I won’t bore you with the details now, but it does take a lot of skills and equipment and experience, of course.
